This month marks the 10th Anniversary of Sustainable Travel International, a milestone we are extremely proud to commemorate. A heartfelt thanks to all of you who have helped Sustainable Travel International on our journey, and a warm welcome to those considering working with us as we enter our second decade.
This new chapter in our organization calls for a new look and feel, so I am delighted to unveil our fresh new logo and website. These changes are designed to tell the story of our next decade and beyond. Please let us know what you think.
I started Sustainable Travel International a decade ago with support from a good friend and colleague, while looking for new ways to make a positive impact on the world. I chose the tagline Leave the World a Better Place because I believed then, as I do now, that travel and tourism are a force for good: for the hundreds of businesses and communities we work with, and for the nearly one billion people who enjoy travel in its many forms on an annual basis.
Sustainable Travel, the concept and the company, have come a long way since 2002. We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished, and we recognize there is still much more to do.
A few months ago, we shared our new mission statement, focused on helping the industry in its quest to drive positive impacts in key areas like climate change and protection of cultural heritage, at a time when the global challenges we face can at times feel overwhelming.
Using our mission as a beacon, our team set out to evolve how we turn these lofty ambitions into reality. With our decade of experience and areas of expertise squarely in focus, we landed on a set of B2B and destination-level solutions. Each of these offerings has evolved based on market demand since our inception, and each is designed to be scaled for wide-reaching impact. We’re now working with organizations of all sizes across the world, to implement these solutions and effect change at a destination level.
We’re proud of how we’ve grown, but we’re not forgetting our roots. We believe that our work will continue to Leave the World a Better Place.
