Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda to Support Micro-enterprise in Pinal de Amoles, Mexico |
|

From November 26th to December 31st, Sustainable Travel International partner Grupo Ecológico Sierra Gorda (GESG) will be listed in the Global Giving Open Challenge to raise $ 5,000 USD within a month from a minimum of 40 donors.
With the funds Sierra Gorda seeks to support various micro-enterprise partners in order to acquire the appropriate equipment and restoration of roadside installations. This first campaign will be supporting a microenterprise in Cuatro Palos, Pinal de Amoles, and after reaching its goal, the organization hopes to raise seed funds for each one of 30 cooperatives owned and operated by local communities. The support for the community will help create a world tourism destination that is fair and sustainable. The spectacular beauty that is the Sierra Gorda Biospehre has an economic value and drives the Sierra’s local tourism stakeholders to reinforce sustainable criteria.
Your contribution is your choice; simply visit the campaign page and make a donation. You can help the organization reach its goal by inviting your network of friends, colleagues and communities concerned about creating sustainable livelihoods in rural, high biodiversity to donate, too.
